Cynthia St. Pierre - Owner, Educator, & Master Designer

Cynthia St. Pierre has trained extensively across the United States and brings her unique talents to Salem. She has trained with the internationally-renowned designer Irvine Rusk as well as the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California. Cynthia has also traveled to London, England, and various other locations to learn the latest cutting techniques for her clients.

Cynthia O

Cynthia was actually the first student to graduate from St Pierre Academy in 2003. She had approached Cynthia St Pierre about an apprenticeship, and from there, the academy was created. She has traveled extensively to Redken and Rusk hair shows all over the United States. She is very creative and has a flare for artistic hair. She likens her skills to those of an artist, only her canvas is round. She loves to create a new look and dramatic change for her clients. She is not for the faint of heart.

Erin

Erin Wilson enrolled in St. Pierre Academy in January of 2005. She began her cutting classes shortly after in March. Upon graduation, Erin began to work at a salon in Blacksburg, VA for about five months. However, she wanted to follow her passion for Rusk cutting techniques and use their product line. She returned to St. Pierre in April, 2006.

To enhance her education, Erin has attended the CBS Redken Hair Show in Myrtle Beach in 2005, the Fashion Focus Hair Show in Charlotte in 2005, and the Redken Design Style class in 2006. Ali - Level 1

Enrolled in St. Pierre Academy on January 1st, 2005 and began her cutting classes March, 2006.

Ali graduated on December 1st, 2005 and received her license after passing stateboards. Ali has enhanced her education by attending the fashion focus hair show in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2006, Redken Design and Style in October 2006 and Fashion Focus in Charlotte, North Carolina October 2005... click photo to read more

Claire

Claire Sheppard enrolled in St. Pierre Academy in April 2005 and began her cutting class in June, 2005. Claire graduated from the Academy in May 2006 and began her career as a designer at the Salon.

Abbey

Enrolled at St. Pierre Academy in April, 2005 and began her cutting classes in June 2005. Abbey graduated the academy in May, 2006. Abbey has grown as a hairdresser by attending two Charlotte hair shows in the fall of 2005 and 2006. She also attended a Hair Show in Baltimore, 2006. St. Pierre Salon practices Redken Color, and in the spring of 2006 Abbey attended a Redken color class and in the fall participated in a Redken class with Lucas Shaffer from the NY Redken school. Elaine

Elaine Baldacci enrolled at St. Pierre Academy in April 2005. She began her hands in cutting classes August 2005. She graduated in April 2006. Elaine is St. Pierre’s Educational Instructor for the Theory Curriculum at the St. Pierre Academy.

Elaine originally attended the Arnold Burton Technology School. She realized that she desired more intense training to take her to a more advanced level of education to reach her goals as a hair designer. At that time she enrolled in the St. Pierre Academy. Click to read more

Vicki

Vickie has been interested in becoming a hair designer for most of her adult life. While living in southern California, Vickie cut family members hair on a regular basis. In 1996 Vickie came to the Roanoke Valley to visit a friend and fell in love with Southwest Virginia, as it's beauty reminded her of her native country, Cambodia. She met and married her husband here, and has since started their family. St. Pierre Academy has helped her hone the basic skills she already possessed into those of a professional hair designer. As a recent graduate (Oct. '06) Vickie is very excited to launch her career in a field she has always dreamed of being a part of.
